Happy Humping Day!

Oh what a little sleep and a little sunshine will do for the soul. Not to mention a great review in the state’s newspaper. That doesn’t suck. I’m getting excited for this weekends performances. I’ve got great friends in both nights audiences and am ready for them to see the fun!

Started a little women’s group last night. I don’t know if it’s a bible study, per se. We’re reading Crazy Love, and so far, I’m really enjoying it. It’s along the lines of the Rob Bell books that I love so much, but perhaps even better. There were about 8 of us, with half from the salon. It’s really low key, we’re reading this book, and talking about life and about our faith and our questions and struggles with it in today’s world. So that’s new in my world.

I have become a full fleged Maddict. Mad Men has entered my world and in a BIG way. I watched season one sometime ago, but a friend brought me season two, and then I got season three on my Roku. This is what I vegged out on between naps this weekend. Oh me oh my. It’s just soooo good.

It’s 1960’s. It’s NYC. It’s boozy and oozy and not so nice, but oh so pretty.

It taps into that part of my persona that IS the 1960’s wife…

as well as that 1960’s working independent girl ala Peggy Olsen.

And the CLOTHES!!! Oh those white gloves! and you’ll think me a bit off, but the glassware!

THE GLASSWARE!!! I want it. all of it. I’ve already started searching for vintage glassware…oh it’s pretty.

Sadly, I’ve caught myself up to real time in the episodes. I have to wait for season four just like the normal people. Sigh. and the thing is? I don’t get AMC, which is the channel it comes on. Hopefully by the time it begins again, life will be a bit better and I can get that channel!

So that’s about it from here. Hope your humping day is full of laughs. Why not, right?
